Both the yield and storage capacity of this hybrid are unbelievably high without compromising on flavor. Its thick neck means less waste when preparing or processing, and it has a good flesh to seed cavity ratio. Fruit weighs 3½–4½ lbs each.

These winter squashes are best 2 months or longer after harvest. Larger fruits with small seed cavities and thick, straight, cylindrical necks. Flesh has smooth texture and sweet flavor after storage. This 1970 All-America Selections winner from Massachusetts is still deservedly the most widely grown, full-size heirloom butternut. Fruits avg. 9" long. Average weight: 4–5 lb.

Unique appearance with cream skin and dark green stripes and flecks. Tastes very sweet and skin is tender enough to eat. Excellent for stuffing and baking, even right at harvest! 7–9" long x 3" diameter, average weight is 1½lb each.

Smooth, tender flesh that is sweet, bright orange, and excellent for baking, mashing, and pies. Superior appearance and eating quality when compared to other varieties of this type. 4–6lb fruit can be consumed right at maturity. Vigorous medium vine. AAS Winner.

Pink Banana Squash
Pink Banana

The Pink Banana squash is a great winter keeper, and can reach 3-4’ in length and weigh upwards of 40lbs! It is used for both canning and baking and is not stringy when picked at less than 30" long. The thin, brittle skin turns pink-orange at maturity, which is about 110 days. Originally, banana shaped squash came from South America. Archaeologists have found evidence of ancient banana squashes in Peru. After the introduction to north America, it was quite popular in many 19th century American gardens.

The classic New England pie pumpkin. Dark orange-skinned pumpkins in a range of small sizes, typically 4–6 lb. The well-colored, orange flesh is relatively starchy, dry, and stringless. A well-known mini jack-o'-lantern type for pies.

A small spaghetti squash variety, perfect for single servings. Highly uniform, egg-shaped, with golden shell. Mildly sweet, nutty flavor. An excellent pasta alternative—bake or boil, fork out the flesh, and top the "spaghetti" with your favorite sauce. High-yielding plants. Long vines.
